Boone County Republicans have selected James Coyne of Columbia to replace Chuck Basye on the ballot for the District 19 state senate seat from Boone County. Coyne will face Democrat Stephen Webber in the Nov. 5 election. Basye withdrew from the race because of health reasons. Coyne is owner of the Coyne Agency, a Columbia-based health insurance company.
