St. Louis’ first female mayor has been appointed to the UM Board of Curators, the governing body of the University of Missouri.
Governor Mike Parson has appointed former St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson to the board. Krewson served as St. Louis’ mayor from 2017 to 2021 and as an alderman from 1997-2017. Lyda Krewson grew up in mid-Missouri’s Moberly and graduated from Moberly high school. She earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and earned another degree from Truman State in northern Missouri’s Kirksville.
Ms. Krewson served as St. Louis’ 46th mayor.
