The Missouri House Ethics Committee is scheduled to meet this morning at 11 in House hearing room 4 at the Statehouse in Jefferson City. The hearing likely involves House Speaker Dean Plocher (R-Des Peres). “Missouri Times” publisher Scott Faughn joined us live on 939 the Eagle’s “Wake Up Mid-Missouri”, telling listeners that he believes Speaker Plocher will be cleared by the end of the week. Mr. Faughn also discussed the federal reimbursement allowance (FRA) issue during the interview. FRA is a key funding mechanism for Missouri Medicaid. Missouri could lose billions of dollars for Medicaid, if FRA isn’t extended. Mr. Faughn predicts the FRA will get done. Scott Faughn also criticized pro-Palestinian protesters at St. Louis’ Washington University during the interview, and he says UM System President Dr. Mun Choi doesn’t get the credit he deserves for the NIL bill and other issues. Scott also praises State Rep. Kurtis Gregory (R-Marshall) and State Sen. Barbara Washington (D-Kansas City) for their roles in NIL legislation, telling listeners that Representative Gregory and Senator Washington should get Cotton Bowl rings:
