Utility crews from Columbia-based Boone Electric Cooperative have worked around-the-clock to restore power to about 150 customers in the Columbia and Sturgeon areas. Boone Electric’s outage map currently shows just seven customers without power now.
The National Weather Service (NWS) in St. Louis has issued flash flood warnings for Cooper and Howard counties, due to heavy rains. The NWS’ flash flood warnings for Boone, Audrain, Cooper and Montgomery counties have been allowed to expire.
