A mid-Missouri restaurant that’s popular with townspeople, farmers and Mark Twain Lake visitors will rebuild, after burning down in February. Teddy Joe’s in Martinsburg is best known for its sirloin steaks and hamburgers.
Owner Ted Wieberg says they will rebuild, but need the rain to stop.
“Everywhere we go that’s all we hear … when (are) you opening, when (are) you opening, are you going to reopen, are you going to reopen? But we’re going to. We’re just waiting for the rain to stop so they can get started on the concrete. You know the foundations and the floors and once they get done with that, then we can get the contractor in to start building a building,” Mr. Wieberg says.
