Columbia’s city council will decide whether residents who water their lawns and gardens will face restrictions this summer that would regulate times and days they can use city water to irrigate.

939 the Eagle’s Mike Murphy reports the city’s water and light advisory board is recommending that the restrictions be approved by the city council. The issue involves a drop in water pressure during periods of heavy irrigation.

Columbia Utilities staff has been working for six years to find a location for building a needed new water tower on the city’s southwest side.
