The Columbia Housing Authority will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday for its Kinney Point Apartments project. The $14 million development is the largest expansion of government-subsidized housing in Columbia since the Paquin Tower was built in 1978. The project includes 34 new units of high-quality affordable housing with supportive services. It will be located near the Sexton Road – Garth Ave. intersection in the middle of Columbia across from the authority’s Oak Towers complex. The groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday will be 3:30 p.m. at the site.
